Once objects are placed on the design, it is sometimes desirable to rearrange their front-to-back order. By default, objects are drawn in the order in which they were added to the design. To change this, it is necessary to "raise" or "lower" objects ("lowered" objects are drawn before "raised" ones). This feature is most commonly used when stacking objects to achieve a particular look.
If one or more objects are brought to the front, their order relative to each other remains the same but the entire set will appear on top of any other object. Similarly, if one or more objects are sent to the back, they will drop below all other objects with the exception of Background Annotations.
How to send Objects to the Back
Here we see an object with 12 IO flags that are mis-arranged front to back. 9 is unreadable To re-arrange these with the objects choosen, we select Arrange - "Arrange objects" as shown to the left here. The window shown below will open
Resulting in:
As you can see flag 9 is now readable. Here the "Lowermost objects" was choosen in the arrange Objects window. Choosing "leftmost objects" would bring 6,7,8 to the top. Choosing "uppermost objects" would result in 1 thru 5 being brought to the top. This feature can be very useful where objects or flags need to overlap each otherto compact the model. Good Alignment left to right is not always desirable where overlaping is necessary. As can be seen here the left to right alignment is intentionally displaced to allow "Arrange" to be useded so all flags are readable.
