Including Unselected Design States

Feature Description

The Analyst can specify that all unselected object states are to be included within a given design state. Use of this setting can reduce the amount of work needed to manually define design states for designs containing objects with numerous non-mutually-exclusive states. The Analyst can modify this setting either in Grid View or on the design state Details panel.

How To Specify that Unselected States Should Be Included in a Design State (using Grid View)

1
In the Explorer Tree, select the design state to be edited.

Alternative : This setting can be modified for all design states by invoking Grid View with the top-level "DESIGN STATES" folder selected (or with nothing selected).
2
Click on the Grid View icon on the View toolbar.
3
If necessary, select "Design States" from the Contents Type drop-box on the Grid Control panel.
4
Enable "Design State Details" on the Grid Control panel.
5
Select the desired setting in the Unselected States  column in the grid. (Note: the setting can be copied from one design state to other rows in the column so that a batch of design states can all be easily set to the same setting).
