In the eXpresseXpress Model topology export format, theĀ Location column contains the coordinates used by eXpress to specify the relative location of the object described in the Object, I/O Flag, or Annotation column of the spreadsheet. Cells in the Location column contain comma-delimited pairs of xy coordinates, optionally surrounded by parentheses, square brackets or curly braces. The following pairs are all "legal" representations of object location:
84,396
(84,396)
[84,396]
{84,396}
Although the eXpresseXpress Model topology export uses the curly braces, the Spreadsheet Topology Import accepts any of these representations. The comma-delimited xy coordinates (x=horizontal; y=vertical) represent a location within a space of an unspecified size that can be "stretched" simply by creating objects whose location is outside the "soft bounds" established by the currentĀ minimums/maximums. Below, in the sample excerpted from a eXpress Model topology export, notice how a negative x-coordinate is used in cell G9. Because the drawing space within eXpress is not of a fixed size, this is a completely legal way to place an object to the left of the other objects in an existing drawing.
