Exported Location

In the eXpress eXpress Model topology export format, theĀ Location column contains the coordinates used by eXpress to specify the relative location of the object described in the Object, I/O Flag, or Annotation column of the spreadsheet. Cells in the Location column contain comma-delimited pairs of xy coordinates, optionally surrounded by parentheses, square brackets or curly braces. The following pairs are all "legal" representations of object location:

Although the eXpress eXpress Model topology export uses the curly braces, the Spreadsheet Topology Import accepts any of these representations. The comma-delimited xy coordinates (x=horizontal; y=vertical) represent a location within a space of an unspecified size that can be "stretched" simply by creating objects whose location is outside the "soft bounds" established by the currentĀ minimums/maximums. Below, in the sample excerpted from a eXpress Model topology export, notice how a negative x-coordinate is used in cell G9. Because the drawing space within eXpress is not of a fixed size, this is a completely legal way to place an object to the left of the other objects in an existing drawing.
