ISDD - Multi-Discipline Support Tools

A complete lifecycle solution is available from DSI in the form of an Integrated Systems Diagnostic Design (ISDD) Tool Suite which includes eXpress, Run-Time Authoring Tool (RTAT), WorkBench and Diagnostic Reasoners.

The eXpress modeling and analysis engine provides a robust foundation for the assessment and optimization of diagnostics design and supports a collaborative Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) design environment. Useful during all phases of a product's lifetime, eXpress allows information to be developed once and used many times through the product's development, operation and support life cycles. During early development, eXpress can be used to "flow down" diagnostic requirements from the system level design into subsystem and component designs. A major feature of eXpress is its ability to support a top-down modeling process for requirements definition and the development of an initial top-level functional design. Later, as design details become available, they can be added to the system model (using a bottom-up approach) and compared against the upper-level diagnostic design requirements to evaluate compliance. Where gaps are identified in the diagnostic design, eXpress allows "what if" scenarios to be quickly assessed and the results fed into a business case model for trade study support. In later phases of product development, eXpress data can also be used to develop run-time diagnostics.

The Integrated System Diagnostic Design or ISDD Tool Suite provides a start to finish solution for meeting all the diagnostic needs of system design. The ISDD design process is centered around functional modeling of systems which is used to develop the diagnostics and failure analysis necessary to influence and fully support effective integrated systems design. This includes:
