For failure modes created on the Failure Modes panel, the failure mode percentage is now automatically distributed among failure modes for which a percentage has not been explicitly specified.
Default Settings (All Failure Modes equal value)
Single Failure Modes are given 100% and shown with a blue background
Percentages that have been “auto-filled” are displayed with a gray background.
If no percentages have been explicitly specified, then each failure mode will be assigned an equal percentage of the overall failure rate
OR Analyst Settings
Explicitly entered percentages are displayed with a white background.
Here the Second Failure mode entered is given the remaining portion of 100% because the first Failure mode was Explicity entered
When one or more percentages have been explicitly entered, the “auto-fill” feature will apportion the remainder equally among all failure modes for which the percentage has not been explicitly specified.
