As you save a design file or diagnostic study within eXpress, a dialog appears tracking the progress of the save. When saving large designs, this dialog will not only provide assurance that the save is progressing, but will also help you determine which aspects of your design or diagnostic study are taking the longest to save.
Saving is performed in a separate worker isolation thread so that the status dialog does not stop responding when a large amount of data is saved.
On the General Options dialog, there is a checkbox that allows you to specify whether or not the new status dialog should stay open after saving has finished.
(Note: This setting is ignored when a model is AutoSaved.)
When this option is disabled then, after saving has finished, the status dialog will display the total time it took to save that eXpress design or study.
