1) When multiple Functions are hierarchically brought to a top model via a single port then each separate function is refered to as a "thread".
2) When Diagnostic Analysis is run, then each detected ambiguity group can be isolated in parallel with any other detected Ambiguity group. the number of Isolations taking place is dependent on the number of parrallel Processors of the computational unit (Typical a Quad Dual = 8). Each separate Isolation taking place is refered to as a "thread" (Software Programming Term).
