eXpress can automatically build Complementary ports on an object. This feature allows building cables in a very rapid manner by placing a set of ports on one side of an object and using the complimentary port generation to define the ports on the other side. The newly defined ports have the dependencies all setup correctly. Naming of the complimentary ports can inlude prefixes or suffixes as desired by the Analyst
How to add Complementary Ports
Selecting the desired ports then selecting: "Special/Create Complementary Ports" shown at right results in a new window opening as shown below
Here the Prefix C1 for cable 1 has been added resulting in the object shown below.
When "Add Ports" is selected with the complimnetary ports added as shown and the correct dependencies will automatically be setup.
