Default Cutoffs for Multiple Fault Algorithms

This is the default Cuttoff settings for the following Algorithms:

  • Multiple-Fault: Half-Split Failure Prob. (all)
  • Multiple-Fault: Static Health Monitoring
  • Multiple-Fault: Maximize Functions Proven

The Cutoffs used for "Multiple fault" isolations cutoff the isolation when the number of Suspected items is less than one and/or for Refinement testing Cutoff when the attemped refinement is less than three passes. Analysts can change these Counts to modify the isolation sequence where large ambiguities are not being isolated to requirements to find an exceptable solution.

When the + Button is selected for adding a Cutoff the window will open to allow the analyst to setup the Cutoff. See Summary of Isolation Cutoff Windows.

Possible Cutoff Variations:
To setup an additional new Cutoff variation select the + Button on the upper right.
To delete a Cutoff use the - Button on the upper right

Most used besides defaults are the Cost and Time cutoffs. These provide the analyst with the means to limit isolation to Cost and Time Requirements Parameters.

Note: Since Multiple Fault requires Refinement this Cutoff if deleted can not be restored without restarting Diagnostics.
