Creating Design States

Feature Description

An individual design state can be created by right-clicking in the Explorer Tree or using an operation in the Design States submenu within the Design menu. Sets of design states can also be created automatically using the Auto-Create operation.

How To Create an Individual Design State

1
If the top-level "DESIGN STATES" folder does not appear in the Explorer Tree, then display that folder by choosing "Design States" from the Explorer Tree submenu within the Edit menu.
2
Right-click on the top-level "DESIGN STATES" folder in the Explorer Tree and choose "New Design State..." from the pop-up context menu.

Alternative: Choose "New..." from the Design States submenu within the Design menu.
3
On the Create New Design State dialog, type in the name to be given to the new design state and then click on the "OK" button.
4
Edit the object state selections for the newly-created design state.
