Design states can be copied to the clipboard using the Copy operation. When copied, the design state remains in the design, and a copy is also placed on the clipboard.
How To Copy Design States

Begin by highlighting the design state(s) to be copied in the Explorer Tree.

Choose "Copy" from the "Edit" menu.
Alternative 1: Use the Copy icon on the Standard toolbar.
Alternative 2: Right-click on one of the highlighted design states and select "Copy"
