How to Clear object State Setting on Design States
Although, for each object state in a design state definition, the Analyst can toggle between included and excluded (that is, explicitly excluded) by clicking on the corresponding check-box, for objects with mutually-exclusive states the state setting cannot be reset to non-included (i.e., to an empty checkbox) in this manner. Instead, the Analyst must right-click on that state and select the corresponding entry from the pop-up context menu (displayed below).
How to Clear an Object State Setting within a Design State
1
In the Explorer tree, expand the design state to be edited by clicking on the plus sign to the left of the design state name.
2
Right-click on the name of the object state whose setting is to be cleared.
3
Select "Clear Selection" from the pop-up context menu.
Note: The Analyst can also use this right-click context menu to include and exclude object states from a design state definition.
