Deleting Failure Effects

 

Feature Description

 
Failure Effects can be deleted using the Failure Effects panel (for object effects) or Design Failure Effects panel (for design effects). Failure effects (of either type) can also be removed using operations in the Design menu. Once removed, failure effects are permanently deleted from the design, including all of their references (such as in the cause lists for remaining design effects).
 

How To Delete Object Failure Effects (using Panels)

Select the Object  associated with the failure effect to be deleted.

Choose the Failure Effects tab within the context panels.

On the Failure Effects panel, highlight the rows corresponding to the failure effects to be deleted and press the <DEL> key.
 
 

How To Delete Design Failure Effects (using Panels)

Click on the background of the main design window to dehighlight everything.

Choose the Design Failure Effects tab within the context panels.

On the Design Failure Effects panel, highlight the rows corresponding to the failure effects to be deleted and press the <DEL> key.
 
 

How To Delete All Failure Effects for Selected Objects (using Menus)

Select the object(s) from which the failure effects will be deleted.

Select "Delete..." from the Failure Effects submenu within the Design menu.
Or
Alternative: All failure effects can be deleted from a design by selecting "Delete All Object Effects...", "Delete All Design Effects..." or "Delete All Effects..." from the Failure Effects submenu within the Design menu (objects need not be selected prior to performing this operation).
