Object Failure Effects

Feature Description

Failure effects can be easily added to an object using the grid on the Failure Effects panel. Once a failure effect has been created, use the object's Failure Effects panel to complete the definition of the failure effect (specifying, for instance, the effect's severity and causes).

How To Create Failure Effects

1
Select the object to which the failure effects will be added.
2
Choose the Failure Effects tab within the context panels.
3
On the Failure Effects panel, type the name of the new failure effect into the blank field marked by a green asterisk.

As an alternative to manual entry, object failure effects can be automatically generated from a spreadsheet by setting up a failure effect import using the Data Source Administration dialog.
