Design Failure Effects

Feature Description

Design failure effects are created using a simple grid on the Design Failure Effects panel. Once a design failure effect has been created, use the Design Failure Effects panel to complete the definition of the failure effect (specifying the effect's causes and, if necessary, modifying the severity).

How To Create Design Failure Effects

1
Click on the background of the main design window to dehighlight everything.
2
Choose the Design Failure Effects tab within the context panels.
3
On the Design Failure Effects panel, type the name of the new failure effect into the blank field marked by a green asterisk.

 Step 1 setup Cause

Step 2 Setup Severity if Required

As an alternative to manual entry, design failure effects can be automatically generated from a spreadsheet by setting up an failure effect import using the Data Source Administration dialog.
