Failure Effect Options, as shown to the right, allows the analyst to turn on Intermediate Effects (defaulted off) and control the relationship of Design Effects to Mission Phases (Failures, Severity and Compensating Provision by Mission Phase) using the window shown below.
NOTE: This feature must be used if the FMECA is to show Failures, Severity and Compensation by Mission phase.
