Testing order for Multiple Outcome tests

Feature Description

Setting Coverage testing order for Multiple Outcome tests

You can indicate that the coverage of an individual subtest (outcome) of a multiple-outcome group test  will not be proven good until after the final test outcome passes. In previous versions of the software, this was  an all-or-nothing option (with coverage either proven good immediately for each outcome or deferred until after  the final outcome passes). Now, the coverage for selected outcomes can be proven immediately, with the processing of other outcomes deferred until after the entire test passes. This is done using a new setting  on the Test Interpretation panel for the grouped subtest that represents that outcome.

The example above shows the Test Interpretation panel for a User-Initiated test. The new option appears only for tests that are subtests of a group test whose type has been set to “Single Test with Multiple Outcomes”. When enabled, this option overrides the Inference Approach setting for the group test (when it has been set to “Prove coverage as each test passes”).
