Assigning Failure Mode Values

 

Feature Description

 
Assigning Attribute values to failure modes can be accomplished using either Grid View or the Attributes panel.
 

How to Assign Failure Mode Attribute Values (using Grid View)

Select the object for which failure mode Attributes are to be edited.
 
Alternative: Failure mode Attributes can be edited for all objects by invoking Grid View with nothing selected.

Click on the Grid View icon on the View toolbar.

Select "Failure Modes" from the Contents Type drop-box on the Grid Control panel.

Enable "Failure Mode Attributes" on the Grid Control panel.

Edit the value that is in the column that represents the desired Attribute and in the row that corresponds to the desired failure mode.
 
 

How to: Assign Failure Mode Attribute Values (using the Attributes panel)

Select the object for which failure mode Attributes are to be edited.

Click on the List View icon on the View toolbar.

Double-click on the "Failure Modes" folder and then select the desired failure mode.

Choose the Attributes tab within the context panels.

On the Attributes panel, highlight the desired Attribute and make the changes using the Attribute's editing field (to the right of the grid).
