Deleting Failure Modes

 

Feature Description

 
Failure modes can be deleted from an object using either the grid on the Failure Modes panel or operations in the Design menu.
 

How to: Delete Failure Modes (using Panels)

Select the object from which the failure modes will be deleted.

Choose the Failure Modes tab within the context panels.

On the Failure Modes panel, highlight the rows corresponding to the failure modes to be deleted and press the <DEL> key.
 
Alternative : Clear out the failure mode by Changing the Name so that the row is empty and pressing the <ENTER> key.
 
 

How to: Delete All Failure Modes for Selected Objects (using Menus)

Select the object(s) from which the failure modes will be deleted.

Select "Delete..." from the Failure Modes submenu within the Design menu.
 
Alternative: All failure modes can be deleted from a design menu by selecting "Delete All..." from the Failure Modes submenu within the Design menu (objects need not be selected prior to performing this operation).
 
Note: Failure Modes are automatically deleted if the object is deleted.
