Manually Creating Failure Modes

Feature Description

Failure modes can be easily added to an object using the Context panel grid on the Failure Modes panel as shown below

1	Select the object to which the failure modes will be added.
2	Choose the Failure Modes tab within the context panels.
3	On the Failure Modes panel, type the name of the new failure mode into the blank field marked by a green asterisk.
4	Assign a failure percentage to the newly created failure mode (defaults will be equal and add up to 100 unless changed).
5	Define the functions affected by that failure mode.

As an alternative to manual entry, failure modes can be automatically generated from a spreadsheet by setting up a failure mode import using the Data Source Administration dialog.
