Mean Time Between Failures Algorithmn

Description
 
The Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) represents the expected time between failures, if elements within the system were to fail in accordance with their defined failure rates. In the Detection Order Report, this figure does not take into consideration the fact that some failures may be postponed due to a maintenance action (e.g., some failures may be deferred when an item is replaced due to another failure within the same item).
 
Calculation
 
This Test limit is the multiplicative inverse of the Aggregate Failure Rate (scaled so that it is represented in terms of hours, rather than millions of hours), as is shown in the following equation:
