- You can also use the Net Assistant to rename nets. Select the net(s) on the left, select the naming method and then click on the “Rename Nets” button. Possible Naming combinations can be selected in the red circled window with the naming combinations show below. The Default is the one shown here.
The Panel to the right shows the possible naming conventions that can be used. <Object>::<Object>::<Port has been selected. This is the Standard for most models where the name of the Port is the signal name.
Unlike connection changes, net renaming takes effect immediately when "Rename Nets" is selected, and the the name appears in the left window as shown below. The right window is not used in renaming nets.
