Once a net is selected, the net Appearance panel can be used to control how that net is drawn within the design. For larger designs, these appearance characteristics are useful in tracing functional paths, understanding connectivity and overall model presentation.
The net can be set up to appear as either a wire (unbordered) or a pipe (bordered). This panel also allows the color, thickness and (for pipes) border thickness to be edited. The Routing field specifies whether or not the entire path should be drawn, or just stubs. For designs with large numbers of net connections, the stub option often results in a more aesthetically pleasing representation (since the entire net paths are not drawn).
