In the eXpresseXpress Model topology export format, the Object column contains the abbreviation of a component or assembly. Because object abbreviations may contain carriage returns, only a single object can be listed in each cell in this column. This same object abbreviation will typically occur in multiple cells in this column, as multiple rows are usually needed to define all ports and output functions associated with that object (refer to the excerpt from a sample spreadsheet depicted below). All occurrences of the same object abbreviation in this column are assumed to refer to the same component in the design. In fact, when more than one object are assigned the same abbreviation, eXpress will automatically modify one of the names during export (see Handling of Duplicate Names).
