Explicit Passive/Active Propagation

Feature Description

Setting Passive and Active Propogation

The propagation method of Output Functions can be explicitly defined using a dropbox on the Output Functions panel (shown below). This not only makes a difficult-to-understand aspect of eXpress modeling considerably more transparent, but also allows for the passive propagation of net functions from multiple input ports through a single output function (something that could not be done in the past). In previous versions of the software, the propagation method was based solely on the port types of the output function’s dependencies.

Setting Passive/Active From the context Panel:

In the example above, the propagation method, which would active by default (since the output function depends upon two bidirectional ports), has been explicitly set to “Passive”.
