How To Make a Design State Active for Editing

Only a single design state can be active at a time. Although eXpress automatically switches to active editing when the Analyst edits a design state definition, the Analyst can also manually invoke active editing as follows:

1
In the Explorer Tree, right-click on the design state to be edited.
2
Choose "Make Active for Editing" from the pop-up context menu.

Note: To exit the Active Editing Mode, choose "Standard Editing" from the Editing Modes submenu within the Design menu. Alternatively, you can also click on the "Design" title tab of the Explorer Tree.
