Creating Intermediate Effects for lengthy causes

In a FMECA The number of Causes can sometimes be lengthy (Too many causes to make the FMECA read easily). It is recommended that the Analyst make intermediate Effects for those situations. (example - Decoupling capacitor failures on voltages)  Intermediate Effects Overview

Through all Decoupling Capacitor Failures
 
Here you can see Failure of +3.3VDC regulated power was marked Effect Type "Intermediate Effect" and linked to the Class  +3.3V regulated Power. This will cause the Effect to show up in the FMECA as a single entry as opposed to all the Capacitor Shorts. The example here replaced 39 line items in the FMECA with one line Item.
