In Drawing View, the eXpress design is presented as a graphic image in the main design window. When Drawing View is active, design elements such as objects and netscan be selected by clicking on the corresponding graphic elements (right-click menus offer additional operations). Drawing View is often the clearest view to work in, since the presentation of the design can be set up to closely resemble schematics, management diagrams or even the layout of the physical system.
Although it is enabled by default, the Analyst may sometimes need to invoke drawing view explicitly (after having edited design data in Grid View, for example). This can be done by clicking on the yellow Drawing View icon on the View toolbar or by selecting "Drawing View" from the View menu.
