User-defined output functions can be deleted from an object using either the grid on the Output Functions panel or operations in the Designs menu. Although automatic output functions can also be deleted (after having first disabled automatic function generation), the same automatic function will immediately be generated by the software.
How To Delete Functions (using Panels)
1
Select the port from which output functions are to be deleted (the port must be an output or bidirectional port).
2
Choose the Output Functions tab within the context panels.
3
On the Output Functions panel, highlight the row that corresponds to the output function to be deleted and press the <DEL> key.
(Note: only one output function can be deleted at a time using this method.)
Alternative: Clear out the output function by changing the name so that the row is empty and pressing the <ENTER> key.
How To Delete All Functions on a Selected Port or Object (using Menus)
1
Select the port from which output functions are to be deleted (the port must be an output or bidirectional port).
Alternative: to delete all Analyst-defined output functions from one or more objects, select those objects and follow the same steps below.
2
Select "Reset Output Functions..." from the Functions submenu within the Design menu.
Alternative: All Analyst-defined output functions (on all objects) can be easily removed by selecting "Reset All Output Function..." from the Functions submenu within the Design menu (objects or ports need not be selected prior to performing this operation).
Note: When the last output function is deleted from a port, automatic function generation is enabled and a new output function is immediately generated.
