eXpress uses the same menuing format found in many other programs designed to run under the Microsoft Windows operating system. The Pull-Down Menu bar is where the Analyst will find commands to open and save designs, edit options, generate reports, print, switch to other design windows, and access the eXpress Online Help.
Pull-down menus are typically selected by a left mouse click on the desired menu. They can also be accessed by using a combination of “ALT + keys” to select “File”, “Edit”, “Design”, “Reports”, “View”, “Window” or “Help”. The first letter of each menu is the activation “key”. For example, “ALT + E” opens the “Edit” menu. Submenus can also be selected without mouse clicks by adding additional sub menu “keys”. For example : “ALT + W +T” will open the “Window” menu and select “Tile”. The result is a tiling of all open windows. The Pull-Down Menu contains commands to manipulate the current view or document as described below with LInks to each selectable item.
