Sometimes a diagnostic algorithm will include test weighting definitions that are not applicable for a given design (a design may be tested purely in terms of failure modes, for example, rendering function-based weightings superfluous). The Analyst may, in this case, wish to reduce the overall processing needed when generating diagnostics by removing any unneeded test weighting definitions. Alternatively, the Analyst may wish to remove one or more weighting definitions in an effort to customize a diagnostic algorithm for a given set of diagnostic objectives.
Highlight the name(s) of the weighting(s) to be deleted.
3
Click on the minus icon that appears above the list of weighting definitions on the options panel. A confirmation prompt will appear.
4
Click on the "Delete" button to remove the selected weightings from the current diagnostic algorithm.
Changes to weightings are specific to the diagnostic study (and will be saved along with that study). Once a weighting definition has been removed from an algorithm, it can only be restored by resetting the algorithm (by selecting a different algorithm and then reselecting the desired algorithm). This will restore all test weightings to the defaults defined for that algorithm.
