Creating Operating modes
Feature Description
Operating Modes can be created using a right-click context menu in the Explorer Tree or using an operation in the
Design
menu.
1
Right-click on the top-level "OPERATING MODES" folder in the Explorer Tree and choose "New Operating Mode..." from the pop-up context menu.
Alternative
: Choose "New..." from the
Operating Modes
submenu within the
Design
menu.
2
Type in a name for the new Operating Mode and press "OK".
Once it has been created, the Analyst finishes the definition by performing any or all of the following optional steps:
Selecting a Subset
Selecting a Duty Cycle List
Assigning a Description
Note: Although all of these steps are optional, the Operating Mode is only meaningful if a
subset
or
duty cycle list
(or both) has been selected (otherwise, the Operating Mode is no different than the entire design).
