When a subset is selected within an Operating Mode, any analysis or statistics for which that Operating Mode is selected will be constrained to the members of the selected subset. Subsets can be selected on the Operating Mode's Details panel (depicted below).
Choosing the Subset Select Button opens the Window Below so the Subset can be selected which then appears in The Subset window above
How To Select a Subset for an Operating Mode

In the Explorer tree, select the Operating Mode(s) to be edited.

Choose the Details tab within the context panels.

Click on the "Select..." button to the right of the Subset field on the Details panel.

Highlight the desired subset on the Select Subset for Operating Mode dialog and click on the "OK" button.
Note: when a subset is not selected for an Operating Mode, that Operating Mode is assumed to represent the entire design.
