Removing Output Functions Dependencies

Feature Description

Dependencies can be removed from an output function using the Output Functions panel.

Before output function dependencies can be edited, the Analyst must first disable automatic functions for the associated port (for a discussion of the consequences of this, please refer to the topic "Automatic Function Generation").

How To Remove Dependencies from an Output Function

1
Select the port associated with the output function for which dependencies are to be edited (the port must be an output or bidirectional port).
2
Choose the Output Functions tab within the context panels.
3
If it is not already disabled, turn off automatic function generation by disabling the "Automatic" checkbox on the Output Functions panel.
4
On the Output Functions panel, double-click on the name of each port to be removed from the Dependencies list.

Alternative 1: Highlight the port(s) to be removed from the Dependencies list and click on the "move right" icon ( > ).

Alternative 2: Click on the "move all right" icon ( >> ) to remove all ports from the Dependencies list (ports need not be highlighted to perform this operation).

Ports that have been removed from the Dependencies list will appear in the Non-Dependencies list on the right side of the Output Functions panel.
