Duty cycle lists Editing Factors

Feature Description

A duty cycle list contains, for each object or output function in a design, a factor by which the raw failure rate is multiplied when computing the adjusted failure rate for that entity. These factors can either be edited directly within Grid View or edited using the object or output function's Attributes panel (Note: an Operating Mode must be associated with the duty cycle list before it can be edited using the Attributes panel).

How To Edit Duty Cycle Factors (using Grid View)

1
Select the object(s) for which duty cycles (object or output function) are to be edited.

Alternative: Duty cycle factors can be edited for all objects or output functions by invoking Grid View with nothing selected.
2
Click on the Grid View icon on the View toolbar.
3
Select "Objects" (or "Output Functions") from the Contents Type drop-box on the Grid Control panel.
4
Enable "Duty Cycle Lists" on the Grid Control panel.
5
Edit the value that is in the column that represents the desired duty cycles list and in the row that corresponds to the desired object or output function (when entering factor values, remember that 100% is represented as 1.0).

How to Edit Duty Cycle Factors (using the Attributes panel)

1
Select the object(s) for which duty cycles (object or output function) are to be edited.
2
If editing duty cycles for output functions, click on the List View icon on the View toolbar, double-click on the "Ports" folder, double-click on the port associated with the desired output function, then select the function. (Note: skip this step when editing duty cycle factors for objects)
3
Choose the Attributes tab within the context panels.
4
Highlight the "Reliability" Attribute on the left side of the Attributes panel.
5
On the right side of the Attributes panel, select an Operating Mode that is associated with the duty cycles to be edited.
6
Edit the value that is in the column that represents the desired duty cycles list and in the row that corresponds to the desired output function (when entering factor values, remember that 100% is represented as 1.0).
