Lambda Search Option

Feature Description

Lambda Search is a widely-used method for prioritizing Serial Replacement Option. This approach dictates that the items in an isolated fault group will be replaced in order of their relative failure probabilities. In the eXpress implementation of Lambda Search, only the failure probabilities of those functions and/or failure modes actually isolated within each fault group are taken into consideration when prioritizing item replacement. Although Lambda Search, when allowed, has often been applied to each isolated fault group in its entirety, some diagnostic assessment requirements specifiy that serial replacement can only be performed when a fault group meets certain criteria. In eXpress, Serial Replacement using Lambda Search can be constrained by setting the Lambda Search Criteria in the appropriate report.

In the eXpress, the following fault resolution metrics utilize Lambda Search.
