Path-Based Test - an eXpress test that is defined by selecting a test location and for which test coverage is automatically determined by the software. Three types of path-based test definitions are available within eXpress:
Although, by default, the calculated test coverage will consist of all output functions that are upstream from the specified test location, path-based coverage can easily be converted into the equivalent set of failure modes (for the entire test, or on an object-by-object basis). Coverage can also be constrained by selecting the states that are enabled for the given test. For User-Initiated and Probe tests, coverage can also be constrained by marking individual test stimuli as being non-monitored and the calculated coverage can be modified by marking individual functions or failure modes as being non-detected by the test.
