With this method, the reliability data for the assembly will be added to the lower-level functional reliability data when determining the assembly’s failure probability. The reliability data that has been entered for the assembly does not override the rollup of lower-level reliability data—instead, the upper level data is added to the lower-level rollups and the resulting sum is apportioned among the lower-level objects/functions.
