Diagnostically Conservative - refers to a setting that is least likely to result in mis-diagnosis. For example, when defining tests, the most diagnostically conservative approach would tend to minimize test coverage and maximize test interference, since these conditions would be least likely to result in incorrect diagnostic conclusions (the downside being that diagnosis may require more testing than less conservative approaches). Generally speaking, throughout the eXpress software, defaults are set to the most diagnostically conservative option. When the Analyst overrides a default Test limit, they are implicitly approving a less conservative approach.
