The Export Topology to Spreadsheet dialog (depicted below) is used to specify the type and scope of model topology data that is to be exported. This dialog can be invoked for the active design by selecting "Topology to Spreadsheet..." from the Export > Excel submenu within the File menu.
The dropbox at the top of this dialog can be used to quickly configure the export options. When selected, each of the different entries in this dropbox will cause different checkboxes to be enabled on the dialog.
Export Topology and eXpress drawing information - all checkboxes are enabled
Export Topology only (for use by other tools) - only entity names are exported (no appearance, placement or size data), excluding annotations.
Export Net List (connectivity only) - only object, port and net names are exported
Export Object List - object names are exported
Export Function List - object and function names are exported
Export I/O Flags - I/O flags, along with ports and flow direction, are exported
Export Annotations - only annotations are exported
The individual checkboxes on this dialog control whether or not certain types of data is to be included in the export. For specifics on what exported data is associated with each of these checkboxes, refer to Topology Export Control Chart. For a list of all exported columns, refer to the Chart of Exported Columns.
At the bottom of the dialog is a dropbox labeled "Scope." This dropbox allows the Analyst to constrain the export to only those elements that have been selected (highlighted) or to those that are associated with a specific Operating Mode (the default for this dropbox is <Entire Design>).
