Half-SplitĀ - in eXpress, a method of fault isolation that attempts, with each test, to divide the suspected set of items, output functions or failure modes into two setsĀ that are as close as possible to being equal in size or for which a calculation (such as aggregate reliability) is as close as possible to being equal. Many of the default isolation algorithms in eXpress attempt to half-split failure probability.
