Once Attribute values have been assigned, they can be easily restored back to their default value (this can be done either using the Attributes panel or within Grid View). Once set to the default value, the Attribute will continue to use the current default value (if the default changes, the Attribute will be automatically updated to use the changed default value), until such time as a new value is explicitly assigned to that design element.
How to Restore Attributes to their Default Values (using Grid View)

Select the design elements (objects, etc.) for which Attributes are to be modified.
Alternative: Attributes can be edited for all elements of a particular type by invoking Grid View with nothing selected.
If necessary, select the design element type (e.g., "Objects") from the Contents Type drop-box on the Grid Control panel.

Enable the corresponding Attributes section on the Grid Control panel.

Select the Attribute cell(s) that you wish to reset to default values.

Right click within one of the selected cells and choose "Reset to Default" from the pop-up menu. The value(s) will be reset and the Attribute values will be displayed using blue text (indicating that the Attribute's default value is being used for those elements).
How to Restore Attributes to their Default Values (using the Attributes panel)

Select the design element for which Attributes are to be modified.

Choose the Attributes tab within the context panels.

On the Attributes panel, locate the specific Attribute to be modified and highlight the entry in the Source column for that Attribute. A series of radio buttons will appear in the editing area to the right of the grid.

Click on the radio button labeled "Default". The value will be reset and the Source column will update to show that the Attribute's default value is being used for that element.
Note - Assigning a new value at any time automatically switches out of the default value mode.
