Isolation Probabilities Using Lambda Search refers to two columns that appear in the Fault Group Size Percentages section of the Fault Isolation Report. These columns (% and Cum %) provide numbers that describe the expected number of serial item replacements needed to repair a fault isolated by the diagnostic sequence in the current diagnostic study. These probability-weighted Test limits (which are based on the assumtion that the system will be maintained using Lambda Search as the method of prioritizing Serial Replacement) reflect the expected frequency that a diagnosed fault in a fielded system can be repaired with various numbers of item replacements.
