Selecting Nets

Feature Description

How To Select Nets

There are three main ways in which nets can be selected.

The most straightforward way to select nets is to use the left mouse button to click on the desired net(s) in the main design window. Use the <Shift> or <Ctrl> key to highlight multiple nets.
Another way to select nets is with a lasso operation. To select using a lasso, click the left mouse button on a blank area of the design, and then drag the mouse to box out an area. When the mouse button is released, select "All Nets" from the popup menu that appears.

A third way to select nets is to select nets within the Explorer Tree. Open the top-level "NETS" folder and select the net(s) by pressing the left mouse button over each one. The design window will update to show the highlighted nets.

To highlight multiple nets, hold down the <Shift> or <Ctrl> keys on the keyboard while selecting (clicking on) additional nets.
Select All
All nets in the design can also be selected by choosing Select All from the Nets submenu of the Design menu.

Alternative: All nets can also be selected by choosing Select All Nets from the context menu that appears when the Analyst right-clicks on the background of the main design window when nothing is highlighted.

Note: Because this method does not highlight entries in the Explorer tree, it is particularly useful when working with large designs.
