The Name Mapping Report options dialog appears when the Name Mapping Report is invoked within an eXpress design. This dialog allows the Analyst to specify which sections are to be included in the report, the sort order within each section, and the report format (RTF, Excel Spreadsheet, XML) to be generated.
The following options can be specified using this dialog:
Object Abbrevation Mapping- when this checkbox is selected, the Object Abbreviation Mapping will be included in the generated report. The Analyst can choose whether object abbrevations are to be mapped to object descriptions, or to the Test limits of a selected object attribute (the dropbox to the right of this option allows the Analyst to select the attribute to be included in the mapping). The text attribute mapping is only available when at least one text attribute has been defined for objects in the Attribute Definitions dialog. The "Sort by Abbr." checkbox specifies not only the sort order of the mapping (when it is disabled, the mapping is alphabetically sorted by the description or attribute Test limits), but also the order in which the columns appear (the alphabetically sorted column appears to the left and contains hotlinks to the design).
I/O Flag Abbreviation Mapping - when this checkbox is selected, the I/O Flag Abbreviation Mapping will be included in the generated report. Because attributes cannot be associated with I/O flags, this section always creates a map between I/O flag abbreviations and descriptions. The "Sort by Abbr." checkbox specifies not only the sort order, but also the order in which the columns appear in the mapping.
Port Abbrevation Mapping- when this checkbox is selected, the Port Abbreviation Mapping will be included in the generated report. The Analyst can choose whether port abbrevations are to be mapped to port descriptions, or to the Test limits of a selected port attribute (the dropbox to the right of this option allows the Analyst to select the attribute to be included in the mapping). The text attribute mapping is only available when at least one text attribute has been defined for ports in the Attribute Definitions dialog. The "Sort by Abbr." checkbox specifies both the sort order and the order in which the columns appear. Furthermore, when the "Group by Object" option is selected, port data will be grouped into subsections based on the corresponding object.
Net Abbrevation Mapping- when this checkbox is selected, the Net Abbreviation Mapping will be included in the generated report. The Analyst can choose whether net abbrevations are to be mapped to net descriptions, or to the Test limits of a selected net attribute (the dropbox to the right of this option allows the Analyst to select the attribute to be included in the mapping). The text attribute mapping is only available when at least one text attribute has been defined for nets in the Attribute Definitions dialog. The "Sort by Abbr." checkbox specifies not only the sort order, but also the order in which the columns appear.
Report Format - this section consists of single dropbox which allows the Analyst to select whether the report is to be generated in RTF (with or without hotlinks), as an Excel Spreadsheet, or as an XML file.
