Dependencies can be added to a Analyst-defined output function using the Output Functions panel (when automatic function generation is enabled for a port, all output functions defined on that port will already include all of the object's input, bidirectional and control ports in their dependencies).
How To Add Dependencies to a User-Defined Output Function
1
Select the port associated with the output function to which dependencies are to be added (the port must be an output or bidirectional port).
2
Choose the Output Functions tab within the context panels. The "Automatic" checkbox should already be disabled for this port (otherwise, the output function already depends upon all of the object's inputs).
3
In the Non-Dependencies list (on the right side of the Output Functions panel), double-click on the name of each port to be added to the Dependencies list.
Alternative 1: Highlight the port(s) to be added to the Dependencies list and click on the "move left" icon ( < ).
Alternative 2: Click on the "move all left" icon ( << ) to move all ports from the Non-Dependencies list to the Dependencies list (ports need not be highlighted to perform this operation).
