Assigning Values to Design Effects

 

Feature Description

 
Assigning Attribute values to object failure effects can be accomplished using either Grid View or the Attributes panel. For design effects, only Grid View can be used to edit Attribute values.
 

How to Assign Failure Effect Attribute Values (using Grid View)

Select the object for which failure effect Attributes are to be edited.
 
Alternative: Attributes can be edited for all failure effects (either object or design effects) by invoking Grid View with nothing selected.

Click on the Grid View icon on the View toolbar.

If necessary, select "Object Failure Effects" or "Design Failure Effects" from the Contents Type drop-box on the Grid Control panel.

Enable "Failure Effect Attributes" on the Grid Control panel.

Edit the value that is in the column that represents the desired Attribute and in the row that corresponds to the desired failure effect.
 
 
How to Assign Object Failure Effect Attribute Values (using the Attributes panel)

Select the object for which failure effect Attributes are to be edited.

Click on the List View icon on the View toolbar.

Double-click on the "Failure Effects" folder and then select the desired object failure effect.

Choose the Attributes tab within the context panels.

On the Attributes panel, highlight the desired Attribute and make the changes using the Attribute's editing field (to the right of the grid).
