Making Subsets Active for Editing

Feature Description

When active editing is invoked for a subset, the subset is automatically compiled and objects in the design window are displayed using colors that show whether or not they are involved in the subset. The following table lists and describes the object display colors that are used during the active editing of subsets:

Color
Meaning
Green
explicitly added to the subset by Analyst
Yellow
automatically added to the subset during compiling
Gray
not included in subset

When the Active Editing Mode has been invoked for a selection subset, the Analyst can add or remove elements from the subset using operations listed in the Active Subset submenu within the pop-up context menu that appears when the Analyst right-clicks in the main design window. Likewise, the Analyst can use this menu to add and remove the location for a path subset. The operations in the Active Subset submenu (which only appears during the active editing of subsets) are described in more detail in the discussions of selection and path subsets.

Only a single subset can be active at one time.
