Fault Group Node Configuration
 
The fault group node configuration is used to configuration how fault group nodes in the diagnostic flow are displayed.

Display Maintenance Type Setting

1. Display Maintenance Type Setting
When selected the maintenance type (e.g. replace, repair, configure, etc...) is prepended to the fault group size in the fault group size label (e.g. "Replace 1 Item" when selected vs "1 Item" when not selected).

Description Type

2. Description Type
The description type of the fault group.  This can include:
 
  • Display as a vertical list of components
  • Display as a comma deliminated list of components
  • Display the failure outcome description from the prior test.
  • Display the maintenance procedure description.
 
Note:  for the first two options the component name display is defined by the "Repair Item Format".

Repair Item Format

3. Repair Item Format
The repair item format used to specify how components are displayed in the fault group.  Options include in brackets:
  • {Context} - The hierarchical context of the component.  When a colon or other symbol is included in the bracket then the colon appears only when a context is available.
  • {ItemName} - The name of the component as defined in eXpress.
  • {ItemDescription} - The description of the component as defined in eXpress.
  • {AttributeName} - When the name of an item attribute is used then the diagnostic flow will display the value of the attribute assigned to that item.

Selected Fault Group Details

A list of fault group related items that will appear in the diagnostic flow.  These may include:
  • fault group name
  • fault group size
  • fault group description
  • fault group attributes (i.e. these are attributes that are assigned to fault templates in eXpress)

A list of fault group related items that may be select to display in the diagnostic flow.  These may include:
  • fault group name
  • fault group size
  • fault group description
  • fault group attributes (i.e. these are attributes that are assigned to fault templates in eXpress)

The overall width of the diagnostic nodes in the diagnostic flow view.  This setting is the same for both tests and fault groups.
