This report lists, for each item in a given diagnostic study, the different fault groups to which failures of that item can be isolated. Each item’s associated fault groups are grouped by size and, for each size, the report gives the percentage of the item’s failure probability that is associated with fault groups of that size. For each individual fault group, the report lists the aggregate failure probability associated with that entire fault group. This report is not only useful for analyzing the relative diagnostic involvement of different items in a given diagnostic study, but also for understanding the complex impact that changes to an item’s failure rate might have upon the fault isolation metrics listed in the Fault Isolation Report.
